Sacred Path is another Recording of
Healing Songs of the Native American Church. The recordings have
been enhanced with electronic effects added with the voices of
Primeaux and Mike. When they sing, it becomes surreal. This
alteration does not take the power away from the singers, but
gives it to them. This recording is very awesome! When I have been
in the mountains, this recording is with me. I take my CD player
everywhere, camping or on the road!

In this recording, Jay
Begaye, who is Dineh, honors the Navajo Code Talkers. My favorite
song is Soldier Boy. This Album seems to be unique,
because it honors everything that is beautiful in our world. The
songs are both social and prayerful. Jay is very well known
through-out North America. I am fan of this man's wonderful
musical talent!

I must say something special about
this particular performance of Jay Begaye. The Songs in this
recording blend with the desert landscape. Jay Begaye's singing
and the Flute playing of his Clan Brother, Everitt White, makes
this a most sacred and uplifting experience. I do not know where
the power possessed by these songs comes from, but they are most
beautiful when your out in the middle of boonies, and a
thunderstorm with lightning flashes across the summer sky. Every
time I listen to certain songs, I stirred into deep thought. It
also reminds me of crossing Hopi Land late at night and coming
into Tuba after driving hours beneath starry winter skies. This
recording is "One of a kind!"

Carlos Nakai, his flute playing is very simple and soothing. It is
neat to just hear this incredible man perform.

Although I am not a fan of symphony
music, you could say I made an exception with this recording. The
Native American Flute sounds gorgeous and in unison with an
orchestra. R. Carlos Nakai plays the flute magnificently in this
recording. The best songs on this recording are, Amazing Grace
and Catfish Muse!
