Rock Art and Ruins
The pictures above are of a ruin I have came
across while hiking. I keep my distance from these places
out of respect. The Ruin is found about twenty miles from
Escalante UT.

Over the past years I have
gone all over the places on the desert surrounding my home
here in Cedar City, UT. This section is on just a little bit
about the Rock art I have come across.
The Desert is my home. It is a country still
lurking in the past. It is a place of beauty and rugged
sandstone canyons and red rock country. The night I took
this picture, a huge thunderstorm was developing. This was
home to the Ancient People who lived here long ago. The
Navajo called them the Anazasi. It is believed that the Hopi
and other Pueblo people today are the descendants of these
ancient people.

Here is a similar picture. I go to vanish
from the everyday civilization. I have seen things that are
so beautiful, that they are quiet places of the Earth that
still speak of the past. I do not tell people where these
places are. There is a lot still untouched and I plan on
keeping it that way. The desert of the Southwest once
belonged to the Indigenous People it is a stolen land.
