This image is of Alisa Meshkova – from one of my earliest model shoots. I titled it because of the light coming into the basement of this abandoned house through a window. The wind was blowing pretty hard and is what lifted her hair. I’ve always been inspired by the UFO Phenomenon and so I titled the image accordingly. Alisa attends Southern Utah University and is very intuitive as a model. She knew how to pose so I could focus on taking images.
This is Braedon Paramore from St. George, Utah. Captured on a Olympus EM5 using the Panasonic Leica Nocticron – which is one of the best lenses I have tested from Panasonic. It’s highly emotive and capable of some very soft blur. The glass is super-sharp when shot wide open. You can’t say that for a lot of fast lenses!
In a faithful bid to transform my life goals and career I’m switching from a nature-loving wilderness guide to a car salesman. It’s quite the gut-wrenching experience but it has been met with many blessings. One of them, is the ability to stay home and have a social life and more opportunities for dating the opposite sex. So the good nature that made me a tour guide will be used in a more stationary and structured environment. The fact is, I love people and I think I can handle this. During this transition, I’m learning how to market and brand myself. It’s important to succeed in life, make friends, love people, and fight for the American Dream.
This reminds me a little of K-Pax and Star Trek mixed together.
I want to photograph more people… capture peoples’ spirits more. Candid moments that are frozen in time. More women. More models. More ordinary people. I’m getting tired of just photographic inanimate objects. The two silver men posed for me over in Old Vegas.
This is a self-portrait of Nate at the Imperial Palace on the Las Vegas Strip. Since I really hate Vegas, I may as well look for the silver lining by taking a few extended exposures. This is me contemplating my life & hoping for better dreams to come true… Also, I dropped my precious 20mm lens on the ground at Bryce Canyon today! That was a trip.
