I don’t always post my best photos on here because I post what I enjoy. I was practicing with the #SonyA7r yesterday and it’s very different than what I’m used to shooting with a cropped sensor. First thing I noticed is how much more difficult it is to nail manual focus on a 55mm lens because of how narrow the depth of field is on a full frame – it’s paper thin when the lens is stopped between f1.4-2.8. I’m shooting with my favorite Porst 55mm F1.4 and it’s a little soft wide open.
