Captured this at Southern Utah’s largest petroglyph site using the Sony 28mm F2 lens on a #SonyA7R. First time trying this system out for #astrophotography. I need to practice a lot more. Not my best shot; but the #ParowanGap in #SouthernUtah is enchanted! ? Especially when you’re out there alone. #Tbirdnation #outdoortbird #sonyalpha ~ via Instagram: ift.tt/2bYYbjm

I don’t always post my best photos on here because I post what I enjoy. I was practicing with the #SonyA7r yesterday and it’s very different than what I’m used to shooting with a cropped sensor. First thing I noticed is how much more difficult it is to nail manual focus on a 55mm lens because of how narrow the depth of field is on a full frame – it’s paper thin when the lens is stopped between f1.4-2.8. I’m shooting with my favorite Porst 55mm F1.4 and it’s a little soft wide open. I may head out today for a few hours to practice some more. #blackandwhite #A7R #SonyAlpha ~ via Instagram: ift.tt/29G9ay1

So when I captured this photo in 2007 was the last time I was shooting with Nikon Dslrs before progressing to Micro 4/3 Cameras which I still love and appreciate. I captured this scene in #MonumentValley which is the heart of the #Navajo – whom have been good friends to me over the years… Tomorrow, I’m picking up a 36 Megapixel #SonyAlpha #A7R which will allow to me capture landscapes like these but bordering on #MediumFormat quality. I will continue to capture beautiful images for all of you, my friends and relatives. Thank you! ??? ~ via Instagram: ift.tt/29w9jl0
